Headaches and Migraines Part 1

Headache is one of the major complaint and biggest reason that leads a patient to go and seek medical help. There are many different types of headaches and its syndromes, and it is very important to first get a proper and accurate diagnosis of the cause of the headache.

Diagnosis must be supported also by a clinical approach that will help out by treating the cause based upon modern and natural medicine diagnostic methods that incorporates the knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biology, chemistry, physics, nervous system pathyways and organ meridians or organ channels.  The International Headache Society has developed a classification methods based upon either the headache causes are primary or secondary.

Based upon 2005 writing and research of J. Olesen et al:  The Headaches, they listed primary headaches as migraine, tension-type, cluster, idiopathic (stabbing), or exertional.  Secondary headaches are systemic infection, head injury, vascular disorders, subarachnoid hemorrhage, or brain tumor.  A majority of primary headache cause is tension type and majority of secondary headache cause is systemic infection.
